Reweave – Threads of Healing ("Reweave," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Reweave mobile application (the "App").
Summary
Reweave is a private journaling app. Your journal entries stay on your device. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data. We do not run ads.Information We CollectJournal entries and session data. Everything you write in Reweave is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. Your journal entries are not uploaded to our servers or any cloud service. You control your data completely, including the ability to export or permanently delete it at any time from the Settings screen.
AI companion interactions. When you complete a Reweave session and have an internet connection, the text you write is sent to our secure backend server to generate a companion response. This text is processed in real time, is not stored on our servers after the response is generated, and is not used to train any AI models. When you are offline, the app provides pre-written reflections and does not transmit any data.
Session metadata. We generate structured summaries of your sessions (emotional tone, themes, processing depth) to power the companion memory system. These summaries are stored locally on your device and are used to help the companion provide more relevant responses over time. Summaries do not contain your full journal text.
Subscription information. If you subscribe to Reweave Premium, your purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card number, or Apple ID credentials.
Device information. We collect only the minimum device information required for the app to function: operating system version, app version, and language settings. We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, location data, contacts, photos (unless you explicitly choose to add one to your Sanctuary), or browsing history.
Anonymous analytics. We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage data (such as which features are used and session completion rates) to improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you.Information We Do Not CollectWe do not collect your real name, email address, or phone number (the app does not require an account). We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or camera data (unless you explicitly grant permission for Sanctuary customization), biometric data, or advertising or tracking identifiers.How We Use InformationWe use the information described above solely to generate AI companion responses to what you write, maintain companion memory continuity across sessions, process your subscription through Apple, improve app performance and fix bugs, and deliver scheduled notifications if you enable them.Third-Party ServicesAI Processing. Your session text is sent to our backend server, which uses AI language models to generate companion responses and session summaries. This processing occurs in real time. Your text is not stored on our servers after the response is generated and is not used to train AI models.
Apple App Store. Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple. Apple's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.
No advertising networks. Reweave does not integrate with any advertising platforms, analytics trackers, or data brokers.Data SecurityWe use industry-standard security measures to protect data in transit between your device and our servers, including TLS/SSL encryption. Your journal entries are stored locally on your device and are protected by your device's built-in security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID).Data Retention and DeletionYour journal data is stored on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. You can permanently delete all of your data at any time from Settings > Delete All Data. This action is irreversible and removes all sessions, tapestry data, coherence data, sanctuary journal entries, and companion memory from your device. If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is automatically removed by your device's operating system.Children's PrivacyReweave – Threads of Healing is not designed for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.Your RightsYou have the right to access all data stored by the app (visible in the app itself), export your session data as a PDF from Settings, delete all data permanently from Settings, disable notifications at any time, and revoke camera or photo library permissions through your device settings.Changes to This PolicyWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
